Call for Application: International Writing Program (IWP) Free Online Writing Course at the University of Iowa
The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) at the US Department of State and the International Writing Program (IWP) at the University of Iowa are offering the free online/virtual course “Write for Your Life: Turning Trauma into Stories”.
We will explore strategies to create vivid, compelling stories (fiction and/or nonfiction) from difficult experiences. As a community of writers, we will examine and discuss published texts, as well as provide feedback on student work. By the end of the course, you will have produced a significant body of narrative prose.
Course date: May 7-31, 2019 Interested candidates should apply by April 8, 2019.
